One of the most common concerns we hear from parents in our church is this: How do I pass on faith to my children without making it feel forced?
It’s a beautiful question, and the anxiety behind it comes from love. But here’s some gentle encouragement: you don’t have to create perfectly spiritual children. You are called to create a home where faith is visible — where they see you pray, hear you talk honestly about God, and watch what it looks like to live with grace and forgiveness when things go wrong.
Children don’t need a curriculum. They need witness. They need to see that their parents’ faith is real enough to survive a hard week, a difficult conversation, and the ordinary evening when everyone’s tired and grace is hard to find.
Pray with them at bedtime, even when it feels clumsy. Answer their questions honestly, even when you don’t have all the answers. And trust that the seeds you’re planting — imperfectly, faithfully — are going into good ground.
